Netflix announced yesterday that Friends would be available for your viewing pleasure starting January 1, 2015. All of my social media accounts were flooded with thrilled fans, which in turn thrilled me since I haven’t seen so much buzz about the show since it ended ten years ago.
As an owner of all ten seasons of Friends on DVD, I can tell you that they weren’t very cheap. I can also tell you that Friends DVDs are not scratch-resistant, thus I have been missing out on some wonderful scenes for years as Lisa Kudrow’s face distorts on my screen. Friends coming to Netflix means an entirely new generation will be able to enjoy the show without having to go through the trouble of renting, buying, or illegally downloading it.
Basically, Friends coming to Netflix is the best thing ever because for fanatics like me – more people will finally understand the references I’m making and why I’m always in the mood for FAJITAS!
