Circa: Wunderkammer premieres in Leicester at the Curve Theatre this Wednesday, November 5th, and is sure to impress, with seven performers leaving their hearts on the stage in various circus, cabaret, and vaudeville acts.
Circa’s Artistic Director, Yaron Lifschitz, says, “we have aimed to create a contemporary place full of rare and amazing things.” It will no doubt be exciting to see the modern spin this show incorporates to spice up the timeless acts. Lifschitz adds that the show takes its audience beyond just circus skills and, “ultimately infuses us with a strong sense of our own humanity.”
The 85 minute-long show premiered in Brisbane, Australia in 2010 and has impressed audiences all over Europe, the UK, and even North America.
Lyn Gardner of The Guardian called the show, “Smart, skilful, slyly comic and sexy,” impressed with the ability of the performers along with the choreography.
